THROWBACK TUESDAY

We filmed this video back in 2005-2006 and I never finished editing it, thus the no titles. I think we were trying to film for a new Switch video which never happened and I just wanted to get the footage out there so I just put all the footage together to one song but never put it out. It's got footage from Ed the Shredder, Brian Peacock, Kyle Schroeder, Chipper, Bubba and others. I'm pretty psyched on it, I wish I used a different song though. There's a bunch of footage that no one's probably ever seen... like Bubba's crook?? That shit's like 6 years old at least.

Luis Aponte or Luis Aponte

As you all know, we have this Puerto Rican friend that everyone knows as Luis Aponte. He hangs around the shop and goes to school in Philly (do you still?) and tries to pull off having a girlfriend by the name of Mellissa, but everyone knows it's his sister. Rad dude, good skater, better hater, and funny as fuck.

Anyway, I was on Slap yesterday and saw this:



Could that be him?! Or is there another skater going by the same name in the same game?! I know Luis is goofy so that could only mean a switch flip nose slide... OR could it be a fs flip tailslide?!? And since the article focuses on Costa Rica, which rhymes with Puerto Rica, could he have an unkown twin brother? Aka.. Melissa's older brother?! Luis, we need these answers buddy. Hook it up.

Here's a recent video Luis posted on youtube. I just watched it and I think it's an ad for Vans Half Cabs... if you wear them, you can do a million bluntslides and noseslide shuvs. Good luck!
