Here's a chance to help the Wilm. Skate Project and go to a Blue Rocks game for free!
If this interests anybody, contact Julie Anne Cross at the contact info below or at least just stop by the game and see us sweat!
URGENT! Call for volunteers for Monday (7/14/08):
The Wilmington Blue Rocks allow non-profits to raise money by arranging for volunteers to operate vending areas. On Monday, July 14th, the Wilmington Skate Project has been offered the chance to do this. We need additional volunteers (we need 20 total), and would be grateful for anyone over the age of 16 who could help us.
Volunteers must arrive at Blue Rocks Stadium by 4:45-5:15pm and are usually done by 10pm. They give “on the job training” during this time (game starts at 7:05), since people work everything from fryers to registers. Please let me know ASAP (ie, Wednesday the 10th if possible) if you can help us out. Email ja.crosspro@verizon.net or call 302-588-3266.
Help Build the Skate Plaza! The mission of the Wilmington Skate Project is to increase awareness of the benefits of skateboarding and to raise funds to construct a high quality skate plaza in the City of Wilmington. Construction on a world-class skate plaza in Wilmington is expected to begin in Spring 2009.
