SKATE SPOT SATURDAYS - #1

So this is a new feature on the site. Every Saturday, I'll be posting photos of spots in the area. Hopefully, you'll spend less time thinking of places to skate and more time actually skating. And I know my directions are going to suck so... deal with it or email me.

Delaware Technology Gap - aka Tech Gap

Loading dock gap over stairs and handrail. Runway is short but enough to be able to do tricks on this gap. Tricks done that I know of are nollie halfcab 180, varial heelflip, frontside flip, backside flip.

Directions: Located in Newark - Delaware Technology Park. If you are in Newark, get on Delaware Ave. heading towards College Square Shopping Center. Take a right on Route 2 before the shopping center and then make your next left. The Delaware Tech Park will be on your right. Follow the road to the back of the Tech Park and you'll find it.

Bust Factor: Go on Saturday or Sunday and you should be straight. Sometimes you'll get kicked out by the cops, sometime's you'll get lucky.

Sears Bank - College Square Shopping Center

Nice warm-up spot. A long bank, pretty mellow for the most part. There's a ledge and wallride spot on the top area as well. Blacktop is smooth, good for games of skate and there's a section of the bank where you can grind the curb.

Directions: From Newark, get on Delaware Ave towards Kirkwood Hwwy. At the end of Delaware Ave. go straight into College Square Shopping Center. The bank is behind Sears Hardware.

Bust Factor: Almost never.
